Mixed Plant Machinery and Brand New Shelters: Purchased and Collected in Five Days
Most sellers with a mixed lot end up splitting it. The used machinery goes one way, the unused stock goes another, and the seller runs two separate processes to clear one site.
This client had both. A mixed load of plant machinery, site dumpers included, alongside brand new shelter structures still crated and banded exactly as they had left the manufacturer. We made one offer for the lot, and everything was off site within five days of the first conversation.

Quick Facts
- Machinery purchased: Mixed plant, including JCB site dumpers
- Structures purchased: Brand new shelter structures, still crated and unopened
- Deal structure: Single outright purchase covering both the machinery and the shelters
- Timeline: Purchased and collected within five days of first contact
- Transport: One low loader, arranged and managed by Enviro Clear
- Resale route: Sold on through Enviro Stock
Two Different Assets, One Buyer
Used plant and brand new stock rarely have the same route to market. Machinery tends to go to auction or a dealer, where the price is not settled until the hammer falls. Unused stock sits in a different market again, and the buyers who want it are not usually the ones bidding on a used dumper.
Handled separately, that becomes two valuations, two sets of terms, two collection dates and two invoices to chase. It also leaves the risk that one half sells and the other half stays exactly where it is, which means the site is still not clear.
We valued both together and bought both together. One offer, one agreement, one collection.
Brand New Stock Still Needs a Buyer
There is an assumption that surplus stock means damaged or worn stock. It often does not. Orders get cancelled, projects change, specifications move on, and perfectly good product ends up taking up space with no obvious way of shifting it.
The shelter structures here had never been unpacked, let alone put up. They left the site crated and banded with the manufacturer’s packaging still on them, in the same condition they had arrived in. Nothing was wrong with them. They were simply surplus to what the client needed, and holding onto them was costing space rather than earning anything. Condition affects what we pay, but it does not decide whether we buy.
Five Days, Start to Finish
Once we had assessed the plant machinery and the shelters, we made a firm offer and the client accepted. Transport was arranged on our side, loading was coordinated around the client’s working week, and both the machinery and the shelters were collected and gone within five days of first contact.
The dumpers and the crated shelters went out together on one low loader, machinery on the deck at the rear and the crates strapped down in front of them. That is only possible because one buyer owned the whole lot. Split the sale between two buyers and it becomes two vehicles, two dates and two people to let onto the site.
The client did not arrange a single vehicle or speak to a single haulier. Once the price is agreed, the logistics are ours to sort out.
The Result
The client cleared the site in under a week and turned two sets of idle assets into a single payment. No auction fees, no commission taken off the top, no waiting to see what the bidding does, and no broker in the middle marking up the deal before passing it along.
The plant machinery and the shelter structures have since moved into Enviro Stock, where they are sold on. That is how the two sides of the business work together. Enviro Clear buys the stock outright and takes on the risk, and Enviro Stock finds it a new home.
