Project Details

Enviro Clear was recently commissioned to carry out a full clearance of a large office floor in West London. During an extensive refurbishment of the building, the floor had become a holding area for furniture from several other levels. By the time works were ready to begin, the space was overflowing with redundant office equipment, and the client required a complete clearance service together with a fair purchase price for furniture that still held resale value.

Although the floor was originally designed for around 50–60 desk positions, our survey revealed almost 300 desks and chairs, along with a considerable quantity of miscellaneous office furniture and accumulated waste. The client also imposed a strict deadline to ensure that the refurbishment schedule could proceed without delay.


Clearance Process

To meet the timescale, our team planned a phased operation with multiple removal crews working in parallel. Each day we loaded two 18-tonne lorries and several Luton vans, ensuring a continuous flow of cleared items from site to our processing facility. Alongside the furniture removal, our operatives collected and disposed of all general waste and unwanted materials that had built up during the refurbishment.

Every item destined for resale was carefully handled to prevent damage, while any waste streams were segregated for responsible recycling. Health-and-safety protocols were followed throughout, ensuring minimal disruption to other ongoing works in the building.


Sustainable Resale and Recycling

Thanks to Enviro Clear’s extensive warehousing and logistics network, all cleared furniture was swiftly transported to our facility for sorting, cleaning and inventory. Items with commercial value were prepared for resale through our established buyer network, and everything else was diverted from landfill through recycling or repurposing channels—fully in line with our zero-landfill policy.


Project Outcome

Despite the large volume of furniture and the tight deadline, the entire clearance was completed within three working days. The client was delighted with the speed, efficiency and professionalism of the service, as well as the added benefit of receiving payment for the reusable furniture.
