What We Purchase

Enviro Clear buys surplus, end-of-line, returned, and cancelled-order PPE and workwear stock directly from UK businesses. We purchase it ourselves, arrange collection, and resell it through our sister site Enviro Stock. There is no minimum quantity. We buy from single pallets up to full warehouse clearances.

PPE overstock and excess inventory. Safety footwear, hard hats, respiratory protection and masks, gloves, and eye and hearing protection.
Workwear and uniforms. Hi-vis clothing, coveralls, and corporate or branded workwear.
Safety accessories. Aprons, harnesses, and similar protective accessories.
End-of-line and discontinued ranges. PPE or workwear you have replaced, withdrawn, or stopped producing.
Customer returns. Returned PPE and workwear, graded or ungraded, including stock that can no longer be sold as new.
Cancelled-order and seasonal stock. Stock that missed its window, or production cancelled after the order was placed.
Insolvency and administration stock. PPE and workwear stock being realised as part of a formal process, handled to your timescale.

Certification and dating

PPE and workwear carry certification and shelf-life details that most stock does not, and it is worth knowing where you stand. Since legislation that came into force on 1 October 2024, Great Britain accepts either UKCA or CE marking on PPE placed on the market, with CE recognised indefinitely alongside UKCA. That GOV.UK guidance was last updated on 24 March 2025. This is a moving area of policy, so it is worth checking the current position before you sell.

Some PPE also carries a marked shelf life. HSE guidance states, for example, that respirator filters must not be used once their marked shelf-life date has passed. Dating of this kind affects value, so it helps to share expiry details when you describe your stock.

None of this stops us making an offer. Certification, packaging, and dating all factor into how we value stock, but they do not need to be perfect for us to buy. Tell us what you have, including any marking or expiry dates, and we will tell you plainly what we can do.

Environmentally responsible

Surplus PPE and workwear does not need to become waste. Stock we buy is resold through our sister site Enviro Stock or repurposed, rather than sent to landfill. It is not fed back into your own sales channels, so it does not sit next to your full-price lines. If you have sustainability reporting to think about, that is a cleaner outcome than disposal.

If the offer works for you, confirm and we move to the next step. There is no obligation and no hidden deductions after the fact. What we agree is what you receive.

We arrange collection or delivery

Our team books a collection at a time that suits you, and we can collect within 48 hours of offer acceptance. If delivery works better on your end, we can discuss that too.

You receive payment

FAQs

How quickly will I get a valuation for my stock?

Usually the same day or within 24 hours of you first getting in touch. A large or complex inventory, or a mixed lot needing itemising, can take two to three days. If you have a deadline, tell us and we’ll work to it.

What happens to my stock after you buy it?

We take it in, hold it, and resell it through our sister site Enviro Stock, which sells to trade buyers. It doesn’t go back into your own sales channels. Where restrictions on resale territory or labelling have been agreed, those apply to how the stock is sold on.

Do you buy footwear and accessories as well as clothing?

Yes. Alongside menswear, womenswear and childrenswear, we buy footwear (overstock, end-of-line and returned, boxed or unboxed) and accessories including bags, belts, jewellery and scarves.

Is there a minimum quantity of clothing stock you’ll buy?

No. We buy from single pallets up to full warehouse clearances, and mixed lots are welcome. Some buyers in this market set minimum thresholds per line or per order. We don’t, so it’s worth asking us even if the quantity feels small.

How do you protect my brand when you buy my stock?

Stock we buy is resold through Enviro Stock, our own trade site. It is not fed back into your own retail or wholesale channels, so it doesn’t end up competing with your full-price lines. For brand-sensitive stock, debranding, distribution restrictions or export-only arrangements can be discussed and agreed before the sale.

Where can I sell surplus clothing stock?

Enviro Clear buys surplus clothing stock directly from UK businesses.
