Sell Returned Goods and Customer Returns

Are customer returns building up faster than you can deal with them? Returned goods that cannot go back on sale as new tend to collect in the warehouse or returns area. There is rarely a straightforward route to move them in bulk.

Enviro Clear is a direct buyer of returned goods, not a broker. We assess what you have, make you a clear offer, and collect once you accept. You deal with one party from first enquiry through to payment, and we buy stock across every sector.

What We Purchase

Enviro Clear buys returned goods and customer returns directly from UK businesses, including eCommerce returns, refused deliveries, and open-box stock. We buy it tested or untested, graded or ungraded, from a single pallet up to a full clearance. There is no minimum quantity.

Graded stock has been checked and sorted into condition tiers, often labelled Grade A, B, or C. The scale is a trade convention rather than a fixed standard. Ungraded stock has not been sorted. Tested stock has been checked to confirm it works, and untested stock has not. Condition affects the valuation rather than whether we buy.

  • E-commerce returns. Clothing, electronics, homeware, and general goods sent back by customers that cannot be resold as new.
  • Refused and failed deliveries. Parcels returned undelivered, and cancelled online orders that had already left the warehouse.
  • Open-box and graded retail returns. Items opened for inspection or exchange, or already sorted into condition grades.
  • Faulty-reported returns. Units sent back as faulty that may work perfectly well on inspection, alongside genuinely faulty units, with condition reflected in the offer.
  • Seasonal return spikes. Post-Christmas and post-sale returns, when volume can outpace normal handling capacity.

Clothing and electronics returns are covered in more detail on our fashion and apparel and consumer electronics pages, and returned office consumables under business and office supplies. If you have a mixed lot and are not sure it fits, describe it to us and we will tell you.

Why Sell Your Retail End-of-Line Goods to Enviro Clear

Free up space and unlock capital

Returned stock occupies processing and storage space you could give back to lines that are selling. Selling it converts idle stock into cash and clears the returns area. Storage costs stop the day it leaves your warehouse.

One buyer, no chain of middlemen

A lot of operators in this market do not buy stock themselves. They take your enquiry, mark it up, and pass it along a chain. Each link adds a margin, so the seller at the start of it receives less and waits longer.

We are a direct buyer. When we make an offer, we buy the stock, bring it in, and hold it ourselves, then resell it through Enviro Stock. We take on the full commercial risk. The offer in front of you is ours, not a figure handed down a chain.

Your brand is protected

Returns are more likely than most stock to carry your own branding. Stock we buy is resold through Enviro Stock , our own trade site, and is not fed back into your own sales or distribution channels. If you need the stock debranded, or restrictions on where it is sold, we can agree that before terms are set.

No minimum quantity

Some buyers in this market will not look at a lot below a set quantity or order value. We do not set a minimum, so a few pallets of returns are worth a conversation.

Environmentally responsible

Returned goods do not need to become waste. Stock we buy is resold into the trade or repurposed rather than sent to landfill. If you have sustainability reporting to think about, that is a cleaner outcome than disposal.

How It Works

Our buying process is straightforward. Here is what to expect from start to payment.

1

Get in touch and describe your stock

Use our contact page to send us details of the stock you want to move, including quantities, condition, and location.

2

We review and send you a valuation

We assess your stock and come back to you with a clear offer as quickly as 24 hours, with larger inventory numbers or mixed lots taking a couple of days.

3

Accept the offer

If the offer works for you, confirm and we move to the next step. There is no obligation and no hidden deductions after the fact. What we agree is what you receive.

4

We arrange collection or delivery

Our team books a collection at a time that suits you, and we can collect within 48 hours of offer acceptance. If delivery works better on your end, we can discuss that too.

5

You receive payment

We offer a number of payment structures, including full upfront payment, 50/50 split payments and payment on receipt, depending on various factors. A full breakdown can be found in the FAQs below.

Who We Buy From

We buy returned goods from e-commerce brands, online retailers, and marketplace sellers on Amazon, eBay, and similar platforms. Wholesalers and distributors handling returns for retail clients sell to us too, as do retailers clearing a backlog after a seasonal peak.

We also work with administrators, insolvency practitioners, and asset managers who need to realise value from returned stock as part of a formal process. Where speed matters, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will work to your deadline.

Ready to clear your returns? Get a quote by describing what you have, and we will come back with a valuation, usually the same day.

FAQs

End-of-line stock is discontinued for range, product-cycle, or seasonal reasons, and is usually new and unsold. Liquidation stock is typically sold off because of financial or operational pressure, such as a closure or insolvency, and can mix new, ex-display, damaged, and returned items. Returned goods have been sold and sent back by customers, so their condition varies. We buy all three, and knowing which you have helps us value it accurately. For customer returns, see our returned goods page.

We take it in, hold it, and resell it through our sister site Enviro Stock, which sells to trade buyers. It is not fed back into your own sales or distribution channels. We buy it outright, so your enquiry is not passed along to other traders to bid on.

No. We buy from a single pallet up to a full clearance, and mixed lots are welcome. Some buyers in this market set minimum thresholds before they will make an offer. We do not, so it is worth asking us even if the quantity feels small.

It does not need to be complete. We consider broken and incomplete size and colour runs. Completeness and condition affect the valuation but do not rule a line out. Tell us which sizes, colours, and quantities remain, and if a line is too fragmented for us to take, we will say so plainly at the enquiry stage.

End-of-line stock is new, unsold product that a business will no longer stock or produce, usually because of a range change, a season ending, or a line closing. It includes superseded models, season-end ranges, and broken size and colour runs. It is different from customer returns, which have already been sold and sent back.

Yes. We buy from businesses going through a members’ voluntary liquidation, from owners closing or retiring, and from companies winding down a range or division.

Sam, Jo and the team at Enviro Clear were AMAZING throughout the whole process of relocating my business (Sell Retro). I was dreading the rather daunting task of moving my business equipment, storage shelves and items themselves (some of it fragile) across a city, but the team listened to my ideas and then took me through their tailored approach for me, and I didn't have to lift a finger! They cleared my old container and helped me move into a huge warehouse/office hybrid with ease! SO pleased with the outcome - thank you guys! Will 100% be recommending you to others :)
